Good byes, baby shower, beach beauties, and the BIG C

Said our farewells to the Russians and all their traditions. We had to sit down together before they embarked on their journey and were given a Russian coin to be tossed in the ocean to make sure that they return to this wonderful place.
Skyped Bristol and got to be a part of her baby shower. She would open her gifts and hold the camera to them, next best thing to being there. Spoke to Tracey and she suggested that I have a shower for the baby and Bristol once we're back in a year. Great idea since it'll probably be a good time for upgrades.
Baby jumpers to big kid jumpers... Went to watch the para gliders from their take off point, what a place to leap from...the views were incredible! But why jump from a perfectly good solid piece of ground?
More beach time, waves and walks. Something here for everyone! Eye candy and eyesores. Speaking of which, I've gone through three bathing suits, with all the saltwater it eats up the elastic and my butt isn't ready for any more exposure, time for another suit!
It is great to be in one spot for awhile to experience seasonal changes, trees losing leaves and bushes growing beautiful flowers. We have had 4 nights with evening showers, some lasting 10 minutes and some up to an hour. A few of those nights had thunder and lightening that boomed and lit up the sky above us.
When shopping at the open markets for dinner and produce we get so much for so little. Little bags of goodness. Pad thai 15 cents, curried pork $1.00, bbq chicken thighs 60 cents, tuna spring roll 50 cents, green curry soup $1.00, all cheap and tasty.
At the grocery stores it's wild to see so many different types of food, from blue crabs and mega prawns, to little blue quail eggs. Many items we're not sure of, let alone how to eat them.
For Easter Sunday we went shopping at the mall and out for Japanese food. Then off to the beach for a sunset swim. We just arrived and about 40 monks came strolling by. They went by the beach and along the lake, what an incredibly wonderful sight. I know I've said it before and cannot say it enough ...we are so lucky!
